Since 2024, we have been developing an AI-agentic approach to software engineering, with the goal of automating as much of the SDLC as possible while keeping an experienced engineer in the loop - you. We already use this approach in commercial projects delivered through demanding quality gates, including solutions for the banking sector, and we continuously evolve our methods to stay at the forefront of AI-native software development.
One of our key products is VIP (Video in Person) - Yameo’s self-developed video communication platform that allows companies to build their own real-time video communication and customer interaction solutions.
VIP already offers a wide range of ready-to-market features and integrations, while remaining fully customizable to specific business and technical requirements. The platform is used by companies from the financial, insurance and medical sectors across Europe, North America and South America.
The platform enables organisations to manage the entire remote customer interaction process without requiring customers to download an additional application. Among other things, VIP allows users to:
- schedule and conduct video meetings directly in the browser,
- make inbound and outbound video calls,
- test the customer's connection before a meeting,
- use GPS-based customer location,
- record video sessions,
- use on-screen annotations and drawing tools during calls,
- integrate video communication with existing customer processes and external systems.
VIP also integrates with external terminals and hardware used by banking customers, bringing additional engineering challenges related to communication between software and physical devices.
It is a mature commercial product that we continuously develop and improve - adding new features, building integrations, evolving the architecture and adapting the platform to new business and technical requirements.
We are looking for a Senior Fullstack Java Developer who wants to be more than just a coder - someone who understands the product and the business problem behind it, contributes to technical decisions and takes ownership of solutions from idea to production.
What you will do
- Develop and continuously improve our VIP product.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features, from technical analysis and design to implementation and production.
- Design and develop backend solutions using Java and Spring Boot and frontend features using Angular.
- Build and improve features related to real-time video communication, recording, calls, customer interactions and integrations.
- Work on integrations with external systems and, in some cases, physical terminals and hardware.
- Translate business and product requirements into technical solutions.
- Create technical specifications and break features into implementation steps.
- Use AI throughout the development lifecycle - from analysis and coding to testing, review and documentation.
- Validate AI-generated solutions and make independent technical decisions.
- Contribute to architecture and technology decisions as the product continues to evolve.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and product demos.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve the platform’s performance, stability and maintainability.
- Work closely with Product, QA and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions used by customers around the world.
What we’re looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Commercial experience with Angular.
- Senior-level technical expertise and confidence in making independent technical decisions.
- Good understanding of software architecture, APIs and distributed systems.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and interest in AI-native software development.
- Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated solutions rather than relying on them without validation.
- Strong ownership mindset - you focus on outcomes, not just tickets.
- Ability to analyse requirements, identify potential problems and propose solutions.
- Experience with integrations and complex production environments will be a strong advantage.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to continuously learn and improve.
